Recreational and Advanced Rhythmic Gymnastics Classes
1-7 hours per week
Ages 5 to 13 years old
Recreational Classes within the Centre Programme is an introduction to basic dance and rhythmic gymnastics skills for children. It enhances, improves and develops balance, coordination, motor skills and social and educational skills. All the various pieces of equipment used in the gym are explored and basic gymnastic skills are taught.
At this level an element of competition exists and children can be invited to compete in the Centre competitions. This is not compulsory and children are free to continue to enjoy the activities offered purely as fun.
Although all children are treated and progress as individuals, some children inevitably display the correct physical composition, aptitude and commitment to be invited to join one of the Competitive Pre-Squad and Squad Group based within the Centre. This, however, involves considerably more training and an increased level of commitment from both child and parent or guardian, and should not be entered into without careful consideration of all the elements involved.
Dancing for Rhythmic Gymnasts
Importance of Dancing in Rhythmic Gymnastics:
After 2012 London Olympic Games Rules in Rhythmic Gymnastics changed. Last year after Olympic Games in Rio Rules changed again and routines performance in flowing dance motion became more important than before. With new Rules regulations Dance Steps has to be in each gymnasts routines, Junior gymnast has to have at least 2 sequences of Dance Steps.
Artistic image became even more important, because penalty on it now increased to 3.5points out of 10 available points. Each gymnast can have it or be penalized for artistic faults for 3.5points. These 3.5points are the less risky one and the easiest points, that gymnast could keep or loose in absence of good level of dance ability.
Nowadays gymnastics coaches can’t ignore dance movements. Very good gymnasts can’t execute only difficulties without any connectivity in dance movements.
To gain good skill in dancing and freedom in movements on the floor could be natural or could be taught like any other elements. We, as professional dance coaches, believe, that dance movements has to be included in weekly training programme to improve gymnasts dance abilities. To meet these new rules we prepared Dance Programme: courses, training sessions and private lessons.
Courses/Workshops/Private lessons will be provided by Professional Dance Coaches: Katherine and Alexander, with experience more than 25 years in Ballroom and Latin-American dancing and growing many dancers at Elite level and Professional Dance Coaches.
Timetable and Programme could be discussed and adjusted to your specifications.
